Beats the old analog device, hands-down...

The thermostat in my house is no less than 30 and more likely better than 40 years old, so the copper coil and other bits and pieces are clearly worn down so much that it had gained a 4-6-degree flex range that often made things uncomfortable, and often kept the unit running for many hours ($$$) at a time (in South Louisiana, that can almost be necessary, sometimes, but it's still pricey).

This one is the exact same functions, but much more efficient and was a snap to install, and it's so much easier and specific (being digital) to set.

If you have an older thermostat and want to better control your A/C usage, this one, especially for the price, is well worth swapping it out with.Read full review
