Great tri-band radio for direct contacting

This is a great tri-band radio. It is loaded with features. It might seem a bit pricy, but not when you consider everything it is capable of. If you are only planning to tune into a nearby repeater channel, then this probably isn't for you, but if you want to do some direct contacting over distance, this will do the trick.

I bought this new from Japan because they are backordered for months in the U.S. The only problem is that the manual is in Japanese, but the ICOM support site has PDF's of all of the documentation in English.Read full review
