Deep Purple in Rock
If you even remotely like Deep Purples' Machinehead then you really need to check this record out.
.....the first incarnation of the Mach II lineup put out an outstanding record from start to finish NO FILLER HERE
you can tell that every song was played/recorded LOUDLY (but there is no distortion or buzzing----this a great sounding record)------you can really feel the energy and vibe of the band playing together come through your speakers
Speed King & Child in Time are the 'hits'-------but Hard Lovin Man Flight of the Rat and Living Wreck are stand out tracks as well
the bonus tracks/studio chatter are a nice addition (and put on the disc after the original 7 tracks) but really all you need is the original (it's a classic for a reason)

I loved this album when it came out in 1970. This collection from 1995 is great with the extra tracks and takes of songs. Ive listened to it for 2 weeks straight in my car.
