You do NOT have to cut and splice/solder...

You do NOT have to cut and splice/solder the battery leads if your device uses the same connector, battery pack form factor and voltage, but you find that the polarity is reversed. While pulling on the wires individually, use a push tack or needle on the little slots on the side of the connector to release the pins. You will be able to change the polarity of the plug. The pins will come right out and push back in where you need them.Read full review
