Kitchen Aid Flex Beater Review
Great item for the Kitchen Aid System. Good value and has many uses for. From beginners to experience bakers this attachment is a must. Highly recommended. Give it a try and you'll like it too.

Poor quality. Can't be endorsed by Kitchenaid.
When I put the beater in my Kitchenaid, and it is the correct one for this model, I could hardly get it into the slot. When I turned the beater on, it started making a horrendous noise and was rattling the bowl. I quickly shut it off and then I could hardly get it off my mixer. I had to use a plier to hold the mixer slot and pull with all my strength to get it off my mixer. This product is not quality made. I threw away the cardboard package so I'm afraid I'm stuck with this piece of junk.Read full review

Good, but not for every mixing task.
The Flex Edge Beater is useful for mixing cake batter but doesn't work as well for cookie dough. It does a great job scraping the sides when mixing cake batter but with cookie dough it forces the dough up towards the rim of the mixing bowl. I had to stop the mixer several times and scrape the cookie dough back down into the bowl. Read full review

does make mixing easier
After properly setting the beater height on my KitchenAid Artisan 5qt, I found this beater more efficient at mixing batter than the regular beater. Not magical though, as I still have to use a spatula to clean the upper edges of the bowl and to ensure there's no ingredient forgotten at the bottom of the bowl, but clearly helps a lot! Therefore, I think the $35 MSRP is a bit pricey: somewhere around $20 is more in line with its added value.Read full review
Another Excellent KitchenAid Product
Flex Edge beater is easy to attach to the mixer and I don't have to scrape the sides of the bowl, this beater does it for me.

No fuss mixing
1st use left a thin layer unmixed in bottom of bowl. This was my 1st use of the new mixer and after watching a utube video on adjusting the beater height, the 2nd try mixed everything perfectly with no hand scraping needed.Read full review

Gets the job done faster
The KitchenAid food flex edge beater ends the job of having to stop the mixer and scrape down the sides of the bowl especially when creaming eggs and sugar. Bought for my niece who loves to bake and she gave it her thumbs up which is good enough for me!Read full review

Works great
For years I have been turning off my kitchenaid mixer to scrape the sides. At christmas time my niece told me to get the edge beater. I did and I love it. Gets right around the edges. No need to stop and scrape.Read full review

Not as I expected
This was listed as being able to use on my model of KitchenAid Stand Mixer, but it had to be forced on to the shaft, and then it was hard to get off. Finally poured veg oil into the hole and rubbed it on the shaft, but it still went on hard, but would not go all the way up. When I turned the mixer on, it did not scrape on the sides of the bowl.Read full review
