Great for the sverage baker
I love my kitchen aid mixer for what I do. If you bake a lot then I would recommend a bigger than 5 quart bowl. Wish there was a better option for the blades but thinking it is just an option I will get used to after using it awhile. After all if Emerile uses it it has to be the best right???Read full review

Love My Mixer
I bought this for my Granddaughter for a Wedding shower as I have had one for about 7 years and love it. I make bread and stiff dough products quite often and it just keeps working. The motor is very strong and I like that the bowl is attached to the back of the machine and does not move, not matter how tough the job is. I would buy again if mine ever wears out.Read full review

Great mixer but noisy
We bought this to replace our 50 year old K5 KitchenAid mixer. The new model is a little lighter, but its operation is noisier. In addition to that, while the bowl is larger, it is made from cheaper material and is chromed. There is no spring on the arm to put pressure on the mixer blades and dough hooks to hold them firmly in place. Hasn't caused a problem yet, but time will tell.Read full review
