Klipsch Promedia 2.1BT fantastic sound

Rich audiophile sound, sound all people with golden ears crave. Balanced full range sound with a fantastic bass punch. Klipsch has a sterling reputation for quality sound and Promedia 2.1 BT is no exception. Lacks an off switch but a $2 power strip takes care of that. Older generation was better

I bought this as a replacement to a generation one model that I have had for a few years due to an issue with the controller cable’s pins. The unit I received was a generation 2 (non-Bluetooth) with the updated vga-style connector for the controller. The issue is that the sound quality and bass were significantly worse than the older model I had- so much that I thought to check it as a counterfeit- which as far as I can tell, it is legitimate. The bass on the older model had bass that was so loud that I never had to move the knob past the recommended setting, the newer one could be turned all the way up and it wouldn’t produce the same level, this is due to the weight of the subwoofer being lighter, probably due to a smaller magnate on the driver. Skip these and go with an older model or the Logitech alternative. Read full review

Very pleased! Love the quality of both the satellite speakers and the subwoofer. Don’t waste your money on cheaper imitations. Sound for lossless music is lively and crisp. Adjustments for treble and bass controls sound. Caveat for some may be no switch to turn speaker set off. [Bright LED]. Best sounding 2.1 speakers I've heard

I've had a few brands of computer speakers. Dell 2.1 Logitech 2.1.
had the Dell for years and loved them. because you could control the subwoofer but had to replace them.
got the Logitech did not have this feature and are to boomy.
but the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX sound and power killed them both
Since Klipsch is a high quality speaker manufacturer of home and pro for many years
you can trust the quality of their speaker systems. i used to be a high end stereo salesman and
owned many high end speakers like JBL, Cerwin Vega and walsh 2 ohm. I am also a Dee Jay
from the 70s and worked at many Disco clubs and used to pro equipment.
these sound more like high quality studio monitors. tight bass highs and mids at any volume level.

A one-week-old set-up

The speakers are in my garage workshop. I've had them for about one week. Their box did not contain a user guide. I'm not sure, yet, but I think that the speakers might sound really good if I can get rid of the hum in the bass. It might be endemic to the speaker system or it might be caused by the speaker positions. Maybe the speakers are picking up feedback distortion from other electronics or shop wiring in their vicinity. I don't know yet. I have already reseated the control board that sits on the bottom of the right speaker. You should find a reviewer who has already had the speaker system set up carefully for awhile.Read full review

Just Buy Some...

A truly GREAT little system. Buying my 4th set for my family room. And as they have their own power and plug into any playback device, they can make something that sounds awful into a much higher grade sounding unit.

PC Speakers

Speakers were sold as New Open Box, they were in the original box which did show some slight damage, other than that they appear new and function properly. I have had several sets of speakers but these are much better than anything else I've had. The bass is absolutely in a class alone. I would recommend Klipsch Promedia 2.1 to anyone looking for speakers for a PC or a TV.
The shipping was several days faster than expected, which is also nice.
