Klock Werks Flare 8.5" Windshield

Packaging was nice, no real chance of arriving damaged. Fitment was perfect, zero adjustment needed and nothing is out of line. It does what its supposed to do, my head and shoulders are no longer getting beat up by the wind, my riding experience is very enjoyable now. This should be everybody's first thing to upgrade, it's worth every penny. Make sure to use the size chart on the manufacturer's website to get the right height. I took a gamble and went with a size bigger than what the chart said i needed and it works good for me at 5'10" tall...if it were about 3/4" shorter it would be perfect for my height but i have issues seeing over it as it is.Read full review

It all depends on what works best for your height.

Definitely recommend a demo at the dealership if at all possible. I tried the 7” H-D WindSplitter and it was a vast improvement over the shorty on my Street Glide. It does not vibrate nearly like this unit at low speed / idle BUT I’m 6’2” and I knew I could go taller. But the next size H-D is 10” and too tall.
I am not sure if the 6 1/2” KW would have been just right or too small. I do think it looks cooler than the 8 1/2” and the 8 1/2” is almost too tall - for me.
Any choice of replacement is a game-changer. The ride doesn’t batter you and you still get a breeze. Isn’t that why you have a windshield? You can turn the radio waaayyy down and hear it better!
As far as value, that’s subjective. It’s a $30 piece of Lexan that you pay $150 for. Welcome to the Harley lifestyle!Read full review

2015 street glide with 8.5 inch windshield

Ear's would ring with stock windshield. Bought 8.5 inch windshield and what a huge difference! Can hear radio clearly and ears no longer a problem. Im 6'1 with stock seat and very happy i didn't go with the 11.5 inch(6'3 or taller rider) or 6.5 inch version. (5'10-5'8 rider). Suits me at 6'2"

I had the 6.5" unit on my bike and was lucky enough to have a mate with the 8.5" screen for me to test and compare. I'm 6',2" and had good visibility over the 6.5 but caught some buffering. I noticed an improvement in the 8.5, so ordered one at a great price from this supplier. Read full review

Kinda on the fence

Have not put enough miles on it yet. Just put it on today and only rode around 150 miles. The front end of the bike does seem to hold a little firmer to the ground as klock werks claims.

Fits with Harley windshield pouch

I’m 6’1”. The stock windshield blocked out the wind completely when the fairing vent is open. This windshield doesn’t quite block everything. I like a little wind in my face so it doesn’t bother me. It is far less wind than a 6 inch windshield lets in though. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase
