Why "BLUE" & white?

Even though Eddie never made a "BLUE" & white stripped guitar that I know of,
I had no problem paying a few extra bucks for another "EVH design" pedal.
Honestly, it doesn't seem to do anything more than a BOSS or MXR chorus pedal. IMO
