Very usefull and quiet
I bought this just to run my garage sound system with iPods/MP3 Players/Smart phones. I have been doing live sound and home stereo set up and listening for decades, so I demand excellent sound from all my devices. This mixer is absolutely quiet between tracks and the sound is as good as my 16-channel Carvin mixer I was using. The only thing I would want is for the EQ controls to affect all the channels, but I have a 12-band EQ in the loop, so it does not really matter. This little rig is versatile enough to take as a back up in case my main mixer fails at a gig for some reason. Recommended!Read full review

Great Sound Quality
Replaced a behringer with more channels with this just for personal in-ear monitor for band musicians. The sound quality improvement is noticeable. If you just need basically 1 or 2 channels and basic gain/pan/volume, and need to maintain signal quality this is great. I was sending a fantastic monitor signal into a behringer and trashing it up, now i'm maintaining that quality.Read full review

tiny but useful
I use this unit when tracking acoustic guitars. I use a condenser mike, using the phantom power, to get an "air" sound. I use the guitars pickup outputs on the second channel, sometimes both other channels if the guitar has stereo outs. I adjust the levels using the headphone output and then send this "refined" output to my recorder. It is easier than recording multiple tracks. Unit works great.Read full review

Mackie 5 compact mixer is Outstanding.
I own a LPFM Radio Station, and we Take the Mackie 5 CHANNEL compact mixer on remotes as it is easy to use and works well for our Broadcasts in our local area. Audio sound is excellent, and it is easy to transport from one location to another. We would rate the Mackie (5) with FIVE STARS *****.Read full review

Mackie makes fantastic and easy to use products. I'm in the AV Engineering field and these little mixers come in super handy!

Ok Mixer BUTT!!! Come On Mackie
It is a very quiet mixer but the Tone and Bass controls leave a lot to be desired, you can hardly hear any change in it and I see someone else has that problem also, it sure would have been nice to know that before buying it. I dont care what you pay for something but you should get at least a noticeable change in the eq controls.Read full review

I used it as my in ear monitor mixer
This works great. I gig almost every weekend and needed in ears monitors for some songs my band has some prerecorded loop keyboards added. After tons of research decided to try this mixer. Worked perfect. I can control my ear volume and even tweak the highs and lows with it. Read full review
Mackie is Top Notch!
I add this little mixer to my THUMP12 Portable PA System & the whole sound is amazing.
I've been a professional musician over a 32 year span & the setup here is the best I've had yet.
Just like my title states:
Mackie is top notchRead full review
