The third season of Maverick is engaging and very fun to watch. I enjoy Maverick because it has characters that capture your attention and it doesn’t just always revolve around one particular character. By adding the cousins as well as the brothers and various capers keeps you guessing what will happen next. I love how all the Mavericks basically get hit their Mark no matter which way anybody tries to with them especially in the Mavericks always have a plan and a way out. This purchase was a purchase that I needed it because the original third season I had was corrupt so I needed this third season to complete my collection of the Maverick series. Great Western TV series continues in third season.

Third Season continues the excellent acting/story line of the Maverick series, highly recommended! Sadly this version has no subtitles but the sound is quite clear so it is not a major problem.

Maverick

I watched Maverick when I was younger. My Father liked it too back then. Though some plots were better than others, it had some underlying moral value. I'm 77 now, but I like the appeal of the time when we could enjoy the great outdoors more freely.

In the late 40s and up to mid 1950s, I lived outdoors a lot. My brother and I or a friend and I used to have a tent pitched near a pond about a mile outside the little town of 300 where we lived in Iowa. We used to come home from school and pick up our rifles and walk to the tent. We'd build a fire and spend the night. In the AM we'd walk back to town and change clothes and go to school. After school, back to camp. Back in those days, I could walk down the street in my home town with a loaded gun and no one was afraid of me.

Perhaps, that is the appeal of Maverick; it brings back happy memories of my youth. Not that my adult life was without adventure: I started college on my 29th birthday and got a degree in Nursing. Then to anesthesia school. Then to a mission hospital in Africa. I had malaria 3 times. I was Operating Room Supervisor and the only anesthesia person. It was possible to go for days without a full night in bed. I have a Royal Enfield motorcycle that I still ride and another that I built from parts. So, maybe, there is a little Maverick in me too.
