Good Hardware - App is not so good

The device works fine. You can tell that Melnor didn’t spend much time or money on their iPhone App.

It works but the App just displays Melnor’s Web Interface. The problem is that the text is SO SMALL that you cannot read anything.

Versatile watering on automatic

Received and installed this 4 zone watering controller and valve system yesterday. I already had a drip system set up with a timer from previous years. I needed to break it up into more zones because some areas need more and others less water.

I set up my computer and phone as per the instructions. (Not sure if the controller is supposed to end up as wifi between it and the router; this one never would-so that part did not work if it was supposed to.

I had adequate signal strength to leave the controller hard wired on the router and place the valve out at the faucet behind a brick front and it works perfectly. Log in and control your water from your computer or phone! I love it. Programming is pretty versatile, so lots of ways you can setup a pretty sophisticated plan.

My only concern is the ease that the valve can be triggered in manual. My installation will be tested by my neighbors cat in the future since I installed it with the control buttons facing up.A snap on guard to cover these might be a valuable/viable option.Read full review

Really Good Water Timer

The install of this timer was really easy and the install of the app was easy as well since I have no trouble with such things. When it came time to program the cycles it was a bit confusing but I picked it up quickly.

Overall I gave it 5 Stars because it works quite well and only dumb dumb have trouble 😝.
