Don't knock the ergonomic keyboard until you've tried it.
If you are old enough to have learned to type is school, on a typewriter, you know that typing uphill is not comfortable. Neither is typing on a laptop or a "normal" keyboard. Our hands and wrists are not made to work like we're in handcuffs. The Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 solves those problems and adds tools you never knew you needed. I've been using one for YEARS and bought this one as a spare. Yes, like Penny, I once spilled a drink in my keyboard. And yes, it ruined it and freaked out my PC. In conclusion, try it, you'll love it!Read full review

Always reliable
It is the only keyboard I use for a desk top. Ergo board makes sense. I had one for over 12 years, the keys letters wore off, but if you know how to type, it's not an issue. I never had a failed key, stuck key or broke key. I decided to buy a new one when I upgraded my computer after, yes, 12 years. Read full review

Excellent ergonomic keyboard
Great product! I have used the Microsoft ergonomic model 4000 keyboard for years and love it. Despite the look, it's easy to get used to for an ergonomic keyboard and I use this exclusively as my primary keyboard in the office. I find it more comfortable for my wrists and hands than a standard keyboard.Read full review

Great features and easy to use.
Am really happy with my Keyboard. I've used a wave keyboard for many years now... they are very easy to use and keeps my hands in the correct position / alignment for typing almost all day.

This thing is magic. It turned me into a typist -- even with the slabs of ham I have for hands.
For 20 years I struggled to type, constantly hitting wrong keys, and often two keys at once. I could never find the dividing line between the left and right hands, or keep my hands there.
Then came this. Hands well separated, and at a comfortable angle. Once I find my place I rest my wrists lightly on the "cushion", and that keeps them from drifting off.
(I do not use the extra "riser" that comes with it.)
Why this isn't The World Standard is beyond me.Read full review

A great keyboard
It totally relieves my Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. They are easy to use. Wish they were backlit. I can also make a lot of noise with them when I'm posting if I need to emphasize things, since it is not a chicklet keyboard. There should be force sensing, like on a music keyboard, to make the font darker when you type harder. Read full review

Best Keuboard Ever
I have been using the Ergonomic Keyboard for many, many years, and can not type very well on the normal keyboard, so I always have a couple of spares just in case. This one was purchased as a wired spare. The most I use are wired. I wish Microsoft would put them back in production.Read full review

Incredibly priced for the quality of the product!
The keyboard requires you to install Microsoft keyboard & mouse center on windows to get all features working. On MacOS, some keys such as Num Key doesn’t work, but you could probably use some software to remind those keys.
The typing does take a while to get used to, but once you do, it’ll be great for your wrists.
Overall, a great product.Read full review

Great Keyboard
I really enjoy this keyboard because it has a power feel too it... it definately does not feel flimsy. The layout of the keys took a bit of time to get used to, but when I did... it really took a lot of stress off my hands as the layout design is made perfectly for typing with both hands. This is actually the second one of these that I have purchased as the first one lasted for about two years before some of the keys finally stopped functioning. I got a cheaper standard keyboard to replace that one with and it felt like I had gone from driving a corvette to a stagecoach. I immediately had to go online to get a new ergonomic keyboard because no one sells them locally. This one was missing a kickstand but luckily I still had the old one and took one off of it.
I give this keyboard the highest marks as I've had no pain in my fingers or wrists with these keyboards and can type with them all day and night without issue.
My only complaint is that the keys don't have a backlight under them to light the keyboard up. Alas, you can't have everything.Read full review
