Compact unit fits in tight places requiring smaller access openings.
Needed a compact sawsall for plumbing work. It fits into places that would require a much larger opening
to gain access to cut out waste lines. Replaces another brand that finally bit the dust, and have other M12
tools, batteries and chargers so the bare tool fit my needs.Read full review

Well constructed and durable, but pretty lightweight
This is a nice little saw for use in a pinch, when you are too lazy to use a manual saw or this will fit where your hand a a manual saw won't. OK for lightweight jobs like cutting PVC pipe, but a sawzall it's not. It comes with 3" blades and that's about all it's power will handle. It's plenty fast, but not doesn't feel that strong. I'd keep one on my truck, but I wouldn't carry it around in a tool box because it's not really worth the weight. I don't own a cordless sawzall and I recently used a Dewalt 18 volt, which felt like a real saw and really did the job. I bought this to go with my other Milwaukee 12 volt tools which I love (impact driver and drill) but this tool didn't live up to my expectations. Sorry Milwaukee. Read full review

"I like my Milwaukee Sawzall"
I have been wanting to get this saw for some time and finally bought it. Milawukee tool are my preferred tool products. I am 78 years old and have other brands that just didn't measure up. I like the engineering and quality of the Milwaukee saw for small jobs around the house and the battery style makes it easy to use, no cord, and ready to go to work. Read full review

Sawzall M12 battery saw
I got it new in bag, installed charged battery and also installed DeWalt blade and went to work on siding. Cut like there was now tomorrow . It is a little saw and used wrong blade but it fit and worked great. Nice that blades are interchangeable nowadays at least on DeWalt and Milwaukee saws. Cut thru 1/2" plywood and vinyl siding like cutting butter. Variable speed also as I got to 2x6. I like the small profile.Read full review

Milwaukee M12 hackzall
This is a great little saw as long as you aren't demolishing a log cabin. If you have a big job get a big saw. But this little guy works great under a sink cabinet or cutting holes in drywall. It's one of those tools you look at in a catalog and wonder what good would that be........and then you get one and start using it. Kinda like the multi cutters before they were really popular. One piece of advise. If you're cutting drywall, clean the blade area out once in a while. Use an air nozzle and clow it out. They can sometimes jam up. I think the newest model is supposed to be better in this area. Anyways for about $60 for the bare tool, it's a small investment with a really good value.Read full review

Lou
Used it to cut across 5 1/2" door trim in an old house that I was doing a remodel job. Had to cut a straight smooth line across oak material to add some plinth blocks to change the interior trim look. Cut was clean and straight and made it easy to install the plinth blocks without having to use fillers or putty. Worked great. Many other uses on remodel job as well, but most please with the fine cut achieved.Read full review

Good stuff.....
I love this little saw, I can use it one handed upside down. It is small and light enough to easily handle anywhere you can fit it. I have used it as a jig saw and use it as a keyhole saw to cut boxes and such in drywall regularly. The "FUEL" is a nice powerful "upgrade" if that is what you want to call it but it is heavier and larger which makes it less useful in many small saw situations, besides I have the heavy 110 volt sawzall for power if I need heavy duty. I will no longer live without one of these things. This is my second one, got great service from the first one only taking it apart for a cleaning twice in the couple of years I had it. Someone else decided they liked mine better than going to the store to buy their own or I would still be using the first one.Read full review

Excellent item
This is the little sawszall that can! Easy to hold in one hand, batteries last a long time for the power they put out, fits standard reciprocating saw blades. Super portable, super handy. I keep mine in my truck for...I don't know, but I'll have it when I need it! I recommend the other Milwaukee M12 products as well. I have the FUEL impact driver and it runs forever.
A good set to consider investing in. As good or better than my 18 volt Ryobi tools.Read full review

cuts with ease
Just finished using the unit to cut a light weight metal fence post. Wow, I should have bought one of these a long time ago ! Fast and easy to control, plus I already had three 12 volt batteries. Great deal and fast shipping.Read full review

Milwaukee is the best
Milwaukee makes great products! I'm in h v a c technician so there are times when I need to cut things but unlike a carpenter it's not everyday. So I went for the 12 volt hackzall. Now that I have the tool I find uses for it everywhere. Used it to cut through two three-quarter inch pieces of plywood, use it to cut PVC piping, and use it to cut through drywall. It does consume a lot of battery life so I would recommend going with a 6.0 or at the very least a 4.0Read full review
