has good accuracy locating items but will be digging up a lot of brass,copper,lead and aluminum because they all show as gold on the ID scale. the head phone jack is faulty, to loose a fit for the pin. Was expecting something a bit more robust for the dollars spent.Read full review

Make it easier to pack into a backpack
This product would receive 5 star. It lost one star due to design. The Control station and sencor plate are of unusual shape which taking up space in your backpack. The handle on the control station could be made to be removable also with the cable on the sencor plate protruding 90% make for hard packing.
