Stylish, lite murder in Australia's 1920s

This is a series set in the 1920s in Melbourne, Australia. The actors do a great job. The characters are engaging, the stories entertaining. There is drama with a touch of humour. There is murder but never horror or gore. The fashion and settings are eye catching. We have watched the episodes more than once, they're that good. One of the series' most intriguing features is its excellent video - the lush, saturated, colors and attention to detail.

I have had the series for about a year and have almost worn it out. I bought this one for a friend. This show is fabulous! Real life characters, beautiful scenery, terrific stories and mysteries that make you think. I am Australian, born and raised and this is as close to real Aussie's as you are going to get.
