Great Entry Level Choice

I'm not a pro, but want to take nice photos. The D3200 has proven to be a great choice for me. It makes starting easy, but offers means to get creative as your skill grows. By acquiring lenses tailored to your tasks you can even produce pro level results. Very happy with the Nikon D3200. It will work just fine until I have improved enough to warrant spending what a pro level unit costs.Read full review

An excellent camera for DSLR beginners and advanced enthusiast alike!

An excellent camera for DSLR beginners and advanced enthusiast alike! I bought this camera body for <$200 from MPB, with under 5k shutter clicks and a 6-month warranty. It's a great value, and an overlooked gem, because it's considered the "entry-level" Nikon DSLR. While that's true, this camera can still mount most Nikon AF glass, and with 24.2 MP resolution, returns excellent images! It's small and easy to handle, the controls are very straightforward, and I don't feel like I'll be hampered by it as I grow my photography. I'd advise any friend to get the Nikon 3000-series DSLRs, but starting at the D3200, over the D3100, gives you 24.2 MP resolution, vs. 14.1 with the D3100, so shoot for the D3200+. The D3300 body is reinforced polycarbonate, so it's lighter and stronger, and can mount AF-P lenses, which the D3200 can't, so as prices fall, aim for the highest version you can comfortably afford. Happy shooting! Read full review

Got my camera a day earlier than expected. Great value and great product. Everything works perfectly. Definitely recommend if you’re a beginner or if you just need a smaller back up camera. 👍🏾

Best camera I've owned by far

This was my first dslr I wasn't looking to spend a ton of money and I saw you got a total deal on this camera and what comes with it. I use it every single day and the feedback I get on my dslr photos is great. If you're looking into this and are unsure I can guarantee its good quality I didn't wait long on the shipping for it to get to me and overall in satisfied with all my pieces of camera equipment.Read full review

Great Camera, Fantastic Pictures

I've only used this a few times, but so far I love everything about it. Took a few headshots, and they look professional. Also took some shots of birds in our backyard and they look calendar-worthy.

Great images, slow autofocus

The feller who sold this camera actually sold me a D3300, so it’s a slightly newer model, but effectively the same. Shoots one frame a second faster. Anyway, the camera takes great pictures. The kit lens is slow, but we know that, and it can easily be replaced, or worked around.
The only grip I have is with the slow autofocus. It’s usually pretty slow, but sometimes it’s crazy slow, and refuses to shoot. It’s frustrating to see the shoot disappear, as the lens whirs in and out trying to focus. Some of this is undoubtedly me. I’ve yet to master all the various focus settings, and I’m invariably in the wrong setting when I need a quick shot. Soon I’ll have it figured out, or be quick to click off the autofocus and go manual.
Overall a great camera, and it’s hard to believe this is the entry level offering.

Great Deal! Great Camera! A little washed out photos.

This camera body is in great shape! It works fantastic and takes good pictures in the Program modes(I get better photos in manual mode). I'm not super impressed with the matrix light metering system. The photos are slightly over-exposed and appear washed out. I have been using manual mode and under-exposing almost a full step. Then I have to increase the contrast in a photo editor afterwards. Eh, maybe it's these cheap lenses, lol. But the quality of this 12 year old camera body is amazing and it was an awesome value.Read full review
