great starter camera
This was a great deal for camera and all accessories. I researched and this seemed to be best camera for beginners to SLR. it has an auto mode so i can take pictures right away and take my time to learn the fine points. Easy and straight forward to use. everything in good condition. Zoom not as strong as i would like, so will probably be and extra zoom lens for it.Read full review

best deal ever
there is A LOT of usable stuff here.. an everything is brand new.. even tho nikon does not seal their boxes,, you can tell it was new an never opened..
i am from an old school 80's nikon FM manual meter .. i finely broke down an bought this 3300.. OMG,, what a great image taking high tech tool.. make sure to experiment .. shoot the same shot in all the special effects modes an compare.. will totally knock your socks off.. can not get over how great the pics are..!! an don't have to run the drug store an wait 10 days to get you pictures back..
the nikkor 18 -55 voom lense is great.. ultra wide angle voom to normal portrait range .. exactly where most my shot are taken.. it really is the only lense you'll need..
nikon ought to have/give a dvd to go along with the manual.. would help alot.. ( a pic worth a 1000 words )
anyways,, getting back to the redtag kit.. so much stuff ,, hard to believe it was all there.. but it was.. everything is great an usable except the 50'' tripod.. pretty much worthless.. but the little tabletop tripod is a keeper..

Nikon color and picture quality at a bargain.
The Nikon D3300 is the lightest and simplest of the Nikon DSLR bodies and has the same sensor as our larger D7200. I paired this with a Nikon 35mm f1.8 DX lens and use it for our knock around camera. This rig is very light and cost me less than a point and shoot and works great without flash inside the house in the evenings.Read full review

Great Camera, Poor Quality Extras
The Nikon D3300 camera is fantastic. It is very easy to use and seems to take excellent pictures. The only qualms I have is that my camera seems to differ slightly from what I read about in that some of the menu settings have different values and the kit lens does not have a manual/AF button on the side that it seems it should. I would still recommend this camera to anyone just starting in the DSLR realm.
The rest of the kit is very, very poor quality. The tripod is very light and not sturdy at all. I took it out and got it all set up and after putting my camera on some of the screws came loose and it fell apart. I would absolutely not trust this tripod with a camera on top because it could easily fall over and damage your equipment.
The extra lenses included are so cheaply made and must be connected with a ring adapter which doesn't even attach very well. The photo quality seems ok but these are not something you would go out and buy on their own, only use them because they came with the kit.
The mini-tripod, LCD protective sheet and filters are also so cheap and not even worth bothering with. The camera strap which is made by Nikon is fine but can get really uncomfortable, I highly recommend getting a nicer more padded one.
Finally, the case, flash, and other accessories are all ok. Nothing fantastic and nothing that will stand the test of time.
This seems like a fantastic deal but due to the poor quality of the accessories (I'm not 100% convinced the camera is not a grey market knock off, but it works well) I think it would be better to purchase the camera on it's own and save up money to get some higher end accessories. So many of them are not-functional or safe to use that it was wasted money even getting them.Read full review

Great deal
The order arrived a couple days earlier than promised and all pieces arrived in perfect condition. I just used the camera after charging the battery for a couple of hours. I have only used point and shoot cameras before, and this one is going to take some getting used to, but I was able to take photos of a birthday party using the AUTO mode, and they came out great. I am looking forward to learning how to use all the lenses, filters, etc. This is an incredible value if you find it elsewhere they are charging a lot more.Read full review

I did a lot of research before I bought this camera and I am so happy I decided on the Nikon D3300. You can start taking photos right away, but there are many features that can enhance your photography experience. I have found the Nikon videos to be extremely helpful in educating me abou this camera.
The camera is a little bigger than my last camera, but is pretty lightweight and fits my hand nicely.
The photo images are stunning!

Nice Camera and Package
I did my homework before buying and the reviews were correct. This is a sweet camera. Easy enough for me, a beginner, but with sharp , crisp pictures and all the features I need.
The camera case is ok. No pockets in it but it'll do. I love that some filters are included and both a table top tripod and a free standing one.

This is a top notch camera with an affordable price.
I read a review that was unhappy about one thing and that was that it didn't have Wi-Fi, I have several 35mm cameras and not one of them has Wi-Fi and they all take great pictures. The picture quality is in the lens, poor lens poor pictures and this Nikon comes with a great lens in the 18-55MM. I found this to be an affordable camera that does a great job and I think it will last for a long time. I would buy it again and I recommend that you do too.Read full review
