Great FX body upgrade
I was looking for a Nikon FX body that used the EN-EL15 batteries. The D610 is just what I was looking for. It has good resolution, and very high image quality.

Nice Full Frame DSLR Kit
Comes with everything you need for your DSLR kit except the lens which is better in my opinion because you don't by a professional grade DSLR without knowing which lens/lenses you want to buy for it. Image quality is what I'm paying for not features and the image quality is fantastic, better value than the Canon Mark IV if you're looking for a camera that will give you great image quality and not so much about features to cover up lack of skill/creativity or make your photography 'easier'. However if you're shooting high action events like sports I would say that it is much easier on the Canon's Mark series cameras because their autofocus system is better but it's not impossible or extremely hard on the D610 but Canon is easier and will give you immediate results without much practice. Great camera, best value for money, you won't see an image quality difference between this and the D750, it's just the D750 has a better autofocus system and features. I love my D610, her name is Raven.Read full review

Great 1st camera for an amature to professional.
Great camera that takes FX lens. I did order a used LCD and replaced it, but I ordered a new one since the display is not even. What an upgrade for my D70s!!!
Great entry level professional full frame camera.
Takes great images during the day or with lighting, but also has great low light capabilities.

Good upgrade from older Nikons.
I'm a retired Navy photographer who needed to upgrade from his amateur DX cameras to utilize my lenses to their full extent. This is it. I can get all the control required for my 55mm micro and Nikkor zoom lens without having to deal with format conversion. Plus, I have doubled my pixels. I'm not completely enamored with all the extra bells and whistles but the basics are easy to use. The heft of the camera is a benefit to provide a steadier platform with minimal shake.Read full review

Good👍🏿👍🏿
Over all very happy with the purchase so far. The sensor was quite dirty, had to spend a lot of time spot removing in lightroom. But after buying a sensor cleaning kit and going over it twice to make sure I get everything, it's all good now. Images are nice and clean.
Awesome camera to start with if you're going from crop sensor to full frame.Read full review

Great Value (If you find it used)
In my opinion, this is the best camera for people who want to get into photography. It is full frame and takes really nice pictures. This exceeds my expectations because of the slightly higher fps compared to my D3X. Also, it is lightweight and fits in a small bag.
I owned a Nikon D3X, and the quality of the D610 is as good as I have before. If you find this one used for less than $500, buy it! My purpose on buying the D610 is my secondary camera traveling abroad. I wish the D610 has a flip-out screen for video recording.
I really like Nikon FX cameras because I tend to buy secondhand lenses (e.g. Tamron) that is very affordable.Read full review

Best quality/price full-frame DSLR
The Nikon D610 is my choice after a long time looking for my first full-frame DLSR up to $1000 budget. The Nikon D610 offers top-notch image quality, moderate RAW size files, 6fps, some pro-level features at an enthusiast price range. I tested before other awesome cameras in the same price range such as the Canon 6D, and Sony A7. Both Canon and Sony have single slot SD card, and this has been a deal-breaker for me: when I use this camera for professional purposes I need the option of having dual slot SD card for on-the-fly backup, among long-lasting battery life and more customizable body with more options compared to the other contenders.Read full review

Make the Jump
I went from micro 4/3 to aps-c to full frame and let me say: wow. Don't know why I didn't do this sooner. If image quality is of upmost importance, don't think twice. Make the jump.
The 50mm 1.8d is sharp too. And fast to focus. This camera is putting out quality images even at 6400 ISO.
Great camera, great lens selection, and a very polished professional experience. Nikon all the way.Read full review
