I needed a back up camera for my photography business, and this fit the bill. I actually had to reinstall a different firmware from Nikon so that my Sigma lenses would work with it, but that wasn't a big deal. I'm very pleased with the purchase, although I do not need or use the 50mm 1.8 lens that came with it. I'll probably be listing that to sell in the near future. This is my second Nikon D610. A capable camera w/ all the features I need

I've been partial to Nikon's higher-end cameras for 30 years, starting with the F4 film camera. The D610 has all the features I need without the price tag of the very top-of-the-line models. It's not cheap but not out of reach either - especially as a "used" item via eBay.

My primary application in the past was recording crime scenes and evidence - and this camera, paired with a couple good lenses and the accessory battery grip, will be PERFECT for that.Read full review

Another great product from Nikon. The D610 is actually for my sister & she stated even though this is her first full frame Nikon & is a bit larger she finds it easy to hold and the adjustments are very standard for Nikon DSLR cameras. She is using a newer Sigma 100-400mm lens on it and the clarity of the photos is excellent. She feels the Nikon D610 was a very good choice for a full frame camera.Read full review
