Great Multi-Use Coffee Maker
At first i was bummed that the frother didn't heat the milk, but my wife pointed out that and thew fact it's detachable makes it easier to clean. This was the only thing I didn't like about it but now realize it's not a problem.
Normal brewed coffee is rich and delicious, the carafe and water reservoir are easy to use/clean. The cone where you put the grounds comes with a gold filter which is great. I have't tried the iced setting yet, but the instructions say to add ice to the carafe so I figured the function of brewing isn't any different that other settings. The "Specialty" setting as they call it, or as close to espresso as possible is good! It's basically two large scoops of grounds that makes 4oz of coffee. It turns out pretty close to the espresso experience. We made egg nog lattes for Christmas and they turned out perfectly frothy and yummy.

Lord help you of you want custom quantity of coffee or are a neat freak.
Frothing tool is slower than battery operated ones. Flips out over counter to operate and without a catch tray makes a mess of countertop. Brewer often overflows (drip lever "open) on rich setting. Temperamental in that it likes water level ONLY a prescribed levels leading to alarm for more water or coffee only to preferred level holding "excess" water.Read full review

Best coffee maker I have ever owned. Very well engineered, the designers really sat down and evaluated every feature. Removable reservoir, check, double jointed reservoir lid so it lays flat when opened, carafe fills silently, pours without spilling, the brew cycle is eerily quiet. Absolutely’ love the Ninja Specialty coffee maker! Everything was intact and new. The set up of the machine was pretty easy, and I was able to use it quickly. Great coffee maker, the only drawback is that they don't use cups as the measurement so you have to figure out their brew sizes for coffee equivalent. Once you have that down it's a great coffee maker. Fast brewing, easy to use timer and delicious!Read full review

Great product with limitations!
We use more coffee with this brewer than with previous models for less coffee volume. The coffee does taste richer with less acid and takes less time to brew. The carafe is much more difficult to clean because of the small opening at the top. You definitely need a brush of sorts to clean it thoroughly. We love the frother but find that we don't really use it that much.Read full review

An above average product, good for the price
I very much like the look of this product. I do like the removable water reservoir. I also like the added features and functionality. I do wish that the coffee was hotter, which I heard, was an issue with this product. I would recommend not using the permanent filter because too much coffee sludge gets into the carafe.
