I don't write many reviews but today I will, I like retro because I was born beginning the '70's and grew through the 80's and saw many consoles come to light. I was a Nintendo fan since the beginning but I have to confess I saw PacMan for the first time played in a Atari, fell in love with video games instantly.

Its not yellow so that’s good.

The screen is slightly scuffed even though it shipped with a screen protector (I try to show this in the first three photos),and I went ahead and replaced the A/B button pad because the A one was really mushy, but overall a good refurb. No dust inside the screen, and even though it’s not perfect, the text that says “Dot matrix with stereo sound”, and “Battery” look kind of thin and faded? I still like the glass screen. The Game Boy plastic itself has been cleaned very well. it looks practically new. Regular unfurbished Game Boys can go for $50ish, so 80 bucks for this ain’t a bad deal in my opinion.Read full review

Incredible all around.

Shipping was very quick and arrived two days before I expected originally. Gameboy had great graphics, no dead lines, and the sound system was perfect. What impressed me most was how it even had the original gray sticker on the back. There was absolutely no battery corrosion and I couldn't hardly find any signs of wear. I wasn't really expecting it to work, but it did! After a while of using it, the battery metal thing started to act on it's corrosion. I bought a broken gameboy with all the tools to fix it, so it was easily taken care of. And hey! It even came with the battery cover :)Read full review

Thowback to Old School Gaming

Throwback to older time with many memorable gaming titles. I grew up playing this system with games, including: Mario, Tetris, Legends of Zelda, MegaMan, Metroid, etc. Fulfill your desire to recapture some of that old gaming magic, as well as, show to your kids a little bit of gaming history (8-bits to be exact) :). Great system, works almost flawlessly.

I really dont have any complaints about this system. It plays the games just fine,l, but sometimes the opening NINTENDO graphic is oddly weirdly pixelated. I dont know if this is a problem with the games or the system or maybe a combination, but it is to be expected with a console this old. In any case, if I take the game out once or twice the issues are gone. I will say, that I did manage to get a scratch on it (pic 2), and by browsing online, I can't seem to find any screen protectors for a Gameboy specifically, so on I may just need to be more careful. I now have about 10 games for it and they all have worked wonderfully. Would buy from here again.Read full review

Best console EVER!

Probably the most legendery handheld console of all time. With amazing titles like Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, The Legend of Zelda: Links Awakining, and (of course) Tetris, this system is a must for ANY retro gamer.
