Great little phone
I used to have one of these Nokias when they came out, but sadly I managed to crack the screen. I very reluctantly moved over to a smartphone last year, but it took me ages to type out text messages, and I didn't want/need any apps, so I went back to this lovely, easy-to-use Nokia (I only use it for texting and phone calls). The battery lasts for days, especially if you turn off the phone at night. It also charges relatively quickly too. I've even bought a new spare one just in case anything happens to this one because I like it so much!Read full review

Battery very poor
I've been using this model of phone for years, this purchase was my third or fourth, over the years. The glue on the box had disintegrated so the box wasn't sealed properly, and the battery life is the worst i've experienced (the phone i was replacing still holds more charge than this new one). It can be fully charged by the charger at 9am, and by 5pm it's out of battery (after a ten minute call and two texts during the day, not used for internet or anything else). There must be a fault with the battery because no previous model has had this problem.Read full review
Nokia 301
I had a Nokia 301 supplied with my job for work, I am now retired so had to return the phone to my employer.
As Nokia only made this phone for about 18 months and it is now discontinued it is very difficult to find in 'new' condition and if you can it is expensive.
The one I bought was guaranteed NEW & unlocked and it was a very reasonable price, this (in my opinion) is a fantastic little phone, the camera takes excellent pictures with lots of features like 'panoramic' which is incredible, I took pictures at Balmoral Castle and got the whole of the façade in one picture.Read full review

Compact superb dual-sim phone.
Had one years ago--lasted for ages till I dropped it on concrete. Took ages to find another. Well pleased I've got another now. This is a phone that meets all my requirements. Battery isn't quite as long lasting as I remember--only 2 days, but I talk on it a lot. Superbly compact--drops into T-shirt top pocket--No silly TV sized screens here to snap!Read full review

An excellent phone with some great features. Wise buy!!!!!
The phone is compact, lightweight and slim.
I enjoy the easy press buttons, which is great for texting.
However, the battery has a short life.

2.5G phone lover buys spare
I have a Nokia 301 that is now 5 years old and has been used every day. Recently purchased a second one for when I do eventually have to retire my first one.
It's been very reliable but is now starting to have the occasional glitch due to wear on the components. It has survived a number of drops with only 2 hairline cracks to the casing and some scuffs to the screen that can be seen when held to the light.
If you're after a relatively basic phone that makes calls, sends/receives texts & picture messages, can take basic photos (3.2MP camera), play mp3s and discretely fit into your pocket then it's one to seriously consider, if you don't want a touch screen. The keypad is smooth to the touch and my fingers can glide over the keys unlike some other phones I've used.Read full review

waste of money.
Keys stick when entering numbers or texting and the camera is useless. My previous phone which was of the same was great with good camera and easy texting.

Great little quality 'phone
I have used a Nokia 301 for years and was pleased I could still buy one after mine was damaged. It does everything I need and more, fits perfectly into my hand and coat or jeans pocket, so easy to use the keys too. Suits me just fine..Read full review
