From the time I received it. To opening it. Reading instructions it honestly only takes 10 min. I suggest cleaning your housing after taking old fan out just so you get all the old crusty dust cleaned out. Good quality Nutone Fan but the noise level was disappointing

It's a good quality fan and I would recommend it. The disappointment is that we had a Nutone fan that was 4.0 Sones and we bought this fan upgrade kit thinking the noise level would be noticeably less. It was not. It was only slightly less noisy. We have other Nutone fans that are 0.8 Sones and you can hardly tell its running.Read full review

Easy Upgrade, Easy Install

I have been in my house for many years, this is the second time I have replaced this fan. The first time it didn't have a plug in, so I had to replace the entire fan. Great option for no access fan replacement

We needed to replace our original, Contractor-grade fan, which has no access to the ductwork. After 23 years, I was worried that my plastic flexible duct might tear if I pulled on it to put a new one on it. All the replacement fans I found, even the "no access" options, required me to connect the duct to the new one. This fan simply replaced that noisy one and reuses the box. It isn't whisper quiet, as I was hoping for, but I knew what I was getting with the Sonne rating.
