I had this around my ipnone and dropped it on concrete. The otter box performed better than I ever imagined. It was like it fell on carpet. It bounced a bit like it was made of rubber 10 times thicker than it really was. I thought it would not be as good, say maybe as the other thicker covers, but I don't know how it could have performed any better.
