6 disc cd player
We already had a receiver and speakers and only needed the CD player. It was easy to set up - we did it in about 5 minutes - it came with the cables and we just plugged it in where it was marked CD on the back of our receiver and the CD player worked right away - no problems.

Price was the best I found and it was delivered on time. I am a lower end music listener so quality is not my thing - I like to hear music. That said -For me the sound is good and it has multi disks. If you want quiet mechanics then this is not for you!

Lemon Onkyo DX-C390
The unit stopped playing on my 3rd CD. I had just unpacked the unit fresh from the box and started playing? I tried all the CDs in the unit's tray and none played. I tried all same CDs from the Onkyo to my other CD player,which played alll normally. I had Onkyo tecnical support trouble shoot my problem, after following instruction from manual. None really solved the unusual issue. My first unusual experience to have such brand new becoming defect permanently just playing on 3rd CD. Onkyo did not honor warranty repair because I bought it outside of its Indpendent Authorized Dealer. I had to shoulder repair. Adam's Electronic confirm I had to pay myself 100%.

The DX390 is as good as it gets unless you willing to spend $500 or $600 for a CD player!
This CD player is a steal in every sense. The six CD is excellent with a range of control options that are like an Oppo player and the sound quality, thanks to a built in DAC, is wonderful. All in all you will not find a CD player with this range of quality features at anything close to this price. Think 2X or 3X price-wise to get a player as good as the Onkyo DX390. Why trust my point of view, I watched the first CD player during its development for Philips and Sony at PA technology in Cambridge, UK during the early 1980's. Playing the DX390 and an Oppo through the same system my guess is that you'd need instruments to see a difference. In a word the DX390 is amazing at this price!Read full review

Simple install and music again.
A simple plug and play solution and the controller is easy to read and use. This unit replaced a Pioneer but it fits in with the other components of the system. The 6 CD turntable is a bit different than the magazine fed from the previous unit but it loads easily and should not be a problem. Read full review
