Great alternative to astronomical phone company fees

Ooma sounds about as good as a dedicated phone line, and very easy to configure and use. Also it was simple and quick to transfer my old number.

I now have voice mail as a fallback in case my answering machine stops working. And it's awesome having caller ID again after having to cancel it many years ago due to the high price.

Great VoIP Option!

The Air 2 is the only way to go for VoIP. We were looking for a replacement for our cable phone, step 1 of the cable cutting process. Retaining our number was a priority and Ooma made it so easy. Porting our number took 7 working days, rather than the 2-4 weeks they claim. Setup was easy and the provided documentation made it easy to follow. We plugged our existing Panasonic DECT phone with 5 extensions to the Air 2 and we were done. We did not opt for the premier service, but if you make frequent calls to Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico, get it. They also have reasonable rates for other countries at additional cost.Read full review

Great deal.

We have used this for years. It has saved us a great deal of money. The sound quality is excellent, as long as one has sufficient bandwidth. We use ours with an old fashioned DSL line, and even that way it works fine as long as we aren't using a lot of simultaneous bandwidth with something else. As a backup for a cell phone household, it is really great. It has already saved us some thousands of dollars compared with what a traditional phone line would cost.Read full review

Excellent Product to Save Big Bucks

Excellent product. This is my second Ooma Telo purchased. I liked it so much I bought one for my elderly mother so the phone company she had her landline with could no longer rip her off. She went from $79 per month to $6.71 per month with Ooma. That's a huge savings. I paired it with a good quality handset and she couldn't be happier. Wifi is iffy.

Everything works as good as aways when I put one of these in except the wifi connection was causing the voice to break up. Hard wired and fixed issue, but I bought it to use the wifi so 4 stars.
