A powerhouse in a plastic shell
This blender is everything it is advertised to be. Very powerful and quiet (usually, depending on what you are blending). I subtracted a star in the rating because I assumed that the chrome chassis is actually plastic designed to look like chrome. I suppose this makes it lighter in weight. When the motor on my 20+ yr-old Oster blender finally died, it was nice to be able to keep the pitcher because all Oster pitchers fit all of their blenders. It comes in handy when making 2 different types of blended drinks for guests. The programs are great and simplify the blending job. It has a glass pitcher also, which is important to me. I think it was a good price for a non-commercial appliance and it appears that it will serve us well.Read full review

"Lightweight with lousy features"
Using this Blender the first couple of times and cleaning it was no problem at all. I really liked it very much. However, not it is not what I expected it to be. It is not working great at all now. I can't get it to fit in the pocket and blend on its own. I have to press down on the blender for it to fit and do the job. It is very stressful and disappointing to have to baby sit this thing just to use it!

Oster Pro 1200 has NOT disappointed!!!
I purchased this blender to upgrade my old blender. I wanted a more powerful blender, and after much research, I decided on this Oster Pro 1200. It has not disappointed! My husband and I make fruit smoothies daily, and it takes half the time it used to take. A combination of more torque and improved blades. I would recommend it to anyone. Read full review

Great Food Processor/Blender!
This product is compact, easy to use and effective! I actually have been using one for a few years now and sadly lost my base in a move. I ordered this one as a replacement and am so happy to have it in my life again!
It is excellent for chopping vegetables (onions, brussel sprouts, carrots) and making sauces (mayonnaise, bbq sauce, salad dressings). I'm confident there is much more it can do that I simply haven't learned yet!
