Highway 200. A great DAB adapter
The Pure Highway 200 is a good bit of kit and it has easily converted my 11 year old Fiesta to Digital radio.
If you are able to conceal the wiring within the dashboard it is also very neat.
>You get a dual USB adapter in the box so you dont need to buy one.
If you make sure you get a good connection onto the car body with the magnetic part of the aerial the signal reception is pretty good, but not as good at hanging onto a signal as the DAB radio in my other car. If it looses signal it is pretty quick to retune itself.
i have mine connected by an aux input so sound quality is very good.
i would recommend to other people.Read full review

Needs a little more effort on Pure's part, but overall not to bad.
So lets start at the Beginning:-
Packaging attractive and modern.
Installation was quite simple. Obviously this will change slightly from vehicle to vehicle, but it all goes together like it says in the instructions hide behind trim etc. If your like me you can go the extra mile and remove trim to hide cables properly. I also bought a 12v to 5v adapter that has 2 usb outputs, so i can now power the pure 200 and my camera from a fixed point behind the dashboard that comes on with the ignition. In use the reception is quite intermittent on the window tape antenna and passengers being present also affects this. I spent £10 on a magnetic external antenna and this has improved reception, but it is still not without dropouts. It all comes down to memory. If DAB radios in general should store at least 30 seconds of pre programming so that when you get a short dropout it goes unnoticed, but memory costs money and most people would not accept a 30 second delay on startup.
The display is good and can scroll program info, but why this info could not be included on the rds info which is broadcast to the head unit (as is the name of the unit) is a shame. Cost cutting or short sightedness?
The other gripe is that the unit is not easily removable for anti theft purposes, again sadly i think that this is a cost cutting issue.
Having switched between the same station on fm i notice that the sound quality on dab is quite flat and lacks character.
Overall though i don't think it is bad value for £30 and if you really want a particular stations(s) that are only on dab it's not bad, do get an external antenna though as the dropouts on the internal aerial are intolerable after only a short time and other online reviews mimic this.

An almost perfect budget buy.
Very easy to fit. used previous aerial, reception with this unit has improved dramatically with fewer dropouts than the previous adaptor.
The only down side is it is very difficult to change channels one handed when driving as head unit swivels under the pressure of the channel change. Solved this by using favourites in memory starting at 20 working backwards this enables me to change channels using my left hand.
Other than that problem the radio is prefect.Read full review

Worst DAB radio I have fitted
Brilliant to look at, great to fit, fitted one in my partners i30 and one in our motorhome, more silence than sound, cannot pick up much at all, bought new aerials which have improved the reception a bit, needed a £40 aerial to get the motorhome one to work . Have an old Pure Highway 1 which works much better. Read full review

Definite improvement - when it works
Great little gizmo let down by dropping of signal which will be in part due to the aerial and our poor Bad coverage. Price was good as was delivery.

Good but reception not brilliant
Very easy to install and looks neat on completion. Works well in good reception areas but dropped out too many times to endorse the product any higher.

Good when properly set up
The supplied aerial is a waste of time, I've changed to a roof mounted magnetic aerial and the reception is much better, no drop outs whatsoever, with the Pure item I was lucky to get 5 minutes listening without interruption.
The control buttons seem to have a mind of their own, but it's something I'm getting used to, the quality of sound is great, I'm now hearing sounds from parts of the car that I didn't realise had speakers!Read full review

Great vfm DAB adapter
Good value for money DAB radio adapter for older car stereos. Reception is decent enough but does drop out in more remote areas. 400 or 600 versions have more features but if you only need the basics, this is great.Read full review

Funky sounds machine
It was tricky to set up initially. And the sticky attachment's weren't very sticky so needed some super glue for that! But once it was on my dashboard, it looks snazzy and has a fantastic beat. Very impressive and easy to use. Read full review
