I make men's neckties, and when working with silk or other light weight silky fabric, I have to use a light weight fusible interfacing to make that fabric easier to work with. This Pellon Ultralight was perfect. Plus it didn't interfere with the tie interfacing, by making the tie too bulky. I recommend it to anyone working with silky fabric. I laid it out on the fabric and ironed it on, before cutting out my pattern, whereas the instructions tell it the opposite way. Perfect for Silk Backing

I find this ultra light iron on interfacing is just perfect for this type of fabric. Not as easy to use as it states...

When I tried to iron the interfacing to the fabric it would not adhere, so I finally sewed it to the fabric.It did give my fabric the strength it needed.
