I bought this sharpener because my old one was not removing the wood correctly there-by not making a good point. But this one acts the same way. So perhaps my pencils are the problem or perhaps both sharpeners are not presitionly built well enogh. Just like old school sharpener

I liked the look of the sharpener as it reminds me of the days I went to school back in the 60's. I do not know if schools use this type of desk sharpener or not. I proudly mounted my sharpener on my desk. This type of sharpener sharpens pencils without crushing the wood or lead. The hand held type does not work well as it breaks the lead and never does cut the wood away enough. I am enjoying my purchase.Read full review

I was so happy i'd recieve my item way before the date it was suppose too, i purchase this manual sharperner cause i have a granddaughter she's in Kinder and colors, writes alot, well the thing is that the sharperner worked for a few pencils sharpen, and i've tried to sharpen more pencils and it seems the point of the pencil does not get to the point where it should get, the thing is sharperner does not sharpen anymore and i'm very dissapointed cause i ordered 2, i'm gonna have to return them both im not satisfied with the item
