Pentax Gameseeker 4x-12x40mm Rifle Scope

No warranty support, but a decent scope.

I've owned three of these scopes now. Loved them and the price point was good. Last .22 rifle I bought I was looking for a scope for it and it was a toss up between the pentax and the nikon and both came with lifetime warranties. Never had a problem with the 2 pentax scopes I had previously owned. So I went with the pentax. About a month later I was out shooting and noticed the reticle was no longer lining up correctly. Kept shooting since it wasn't too far off. Well on the drive home the reticle had shifted almost 90 degrees. This scope was only a month old, had been sitting in the safe until I took it out to shoot, traveled in a gun case and I had the scope professionaly mounted when I bought the rifle. Thought it was weird that it had failed. So I go home and google pentax warranty and found out that no-one covers repairs under their lifetime warranty. Really glad I didn't just follow the warranty card instructions and mail it in.
So I was out $120 and ended up buying a nikon anyways.Read full review

Always liked Pentax

It's great to find a Pentax Gameseeker even if it's used. Years ago I could new ones but 3x9 for under $100 but not now. I'm lucky I scored this one. Thanks
