All of my dogs are large and used to running wherever they want, so it’s gonna take time I’m guessing for them to learn their goal. Unless I leave my property they stay inside boundary BUT when I walk or drive out of the boundary they run right thru.!! The 9 month old - doesn’t seem to feel anything cuz he’s always running full blast.??.!!

Good product

We have used this product for almost a decade now. First on our 120 lbs golden mix and when he passed on out 35 lbs bearded collie mix and our 70 lbs lab mix. All have been easy to train to the fence and respect the collars. We did have to replace the collars after 8 years as they started going off randomly. They also burn through batteries more or less monthly. But our yard is hilly and forested, but the collars pick up the signal well and offer a good beep before for warning before the more punitive shock. The collars do seem ridiculously expensive, but so long as you keep the batteries current and the prongs tight it works well.Read full review

No more runaways!!

I purchased the PetSafe PIF-300 fence for my Weimaraner 3 years ago. He is now 100+lbs, & still works for him. I have since adopted two more lil' ones & have purchased the collars to add-on. We have even taken it camping with us. I keep watch on the batteries & frequently check the functionality of the collars. Love the wireless doug fence/receiver collar

We have had 2 dogs with the PetSafe wireless dog fence/collar - for about 8 years. Has kept our dogs contained and we are able to take it with us if needed. Great idea

I really give it a 4.5 star. My son helped and it took longer than the 15 minutes to get everything done. At first when I introduced my dogs they yelped and ran back to the house. I then I had to literally pulled them outside to get them to go outside. I said to myself it said it takes two weeks then and if I still have trouble it's going back. I had off a few days to deal with this new gadget. Well it worked. Now I say to the dogs let's get the collars on and they are happy to go outside. More than expected which is always nice. The pictures showed a blue collar. I got the blue collar plus the standard red collar in an original, unopened PetSafe package. The Blue collar was for a much larger dog but I cut the excess with scissors and burned the end with a lighter so it wouldn't fray.Read full review
