Vietnam War Movie Standard

From the directing to the screenwriting, everything in this movie screams classic. Why this wasn't put on the National Film Registry's list of films right now, I'll never know. Anyway, this movie is about Chris Taylor, a young soldier sent to Vietnam to fight the Viet Cong only to find himself in the middle of a fight between two sergeants who represent two different kinds of ways to resolve a solution. And boy does this movie feel and seem authentic. After all, say what you want about Oliver Stone but don't say he doesn't know what he's talking about. Especially since he fought in it himself. All the fights, the downtimes, right up to the climax. You won't lose a moment's attention to it.Read full review
