Transfer cable.
No fivestar yet because I have not used it enough to really be familiar. I would like something similar that would create a file for an external disc rather than another computer - a sync file that I could use as a sort of backup for several computers. Like Seagate Manager, that no longer works on the newer Windows versions. And, bluetooth or some sort of wireless transfer would be helpful.Read full review

All or nothing.
I found that the product really didn't let you just transfer selected files. When you picked that option it never really broke down to the file level. So, it was all no nothing. This was a disappointment because I thought I would be able to pick and choose what files went well. My old computer was kind of a mess and unorganized. I thought this would let me see what I had and put it exactly where I wanted it. No that didn't happen.
Yes, I downloaded the software. That is where the problem seems to be as the list of what is on this computer seem to be limited. I could not figure out how to get to a sub folder or even a folder. You can say "he just does not know how the software works" which could be correct but then the claim that it's easy to use is incorrect. Read full review

Got the job done
This got the job done and I did not find it difficult to use. The only gripe I have is that the provided transfer software did not seem to be able to access all folders on both computers, so I had to move the files I was transferring to a folder that was accessible to the software. Part of my reason for purchasing this was to avoid excessive transfers that could potentially lead to data corruption, so it looses one star for that.Read full review

Good Cable
Great cable that is long enough to hook up both computers. Apparently you have to pay extra money to acquire a code to be able to transfer everything at one time. It does however allow you to transfer one folder at a time. Then you have to open both programs again and tell it to transfer another folder. You will have to repeat this process for every folder that you want to move to the new computer. Time consuming.Read full review

Old school tech works great!
This cable works great. Absolutely no problems. The activation code is on the cable you just load the software onto each computer, enter the code, hook up the cables and everything you want transfers. It worked perfectly on Windows 11. The software comes on a CD, my new computer didn't have a CD drive. I had to go to a PC and pull the software off the CD and put it on a thumb drive. It was an easy process, but it was an extra step. The setup software worked fine from the thumb drive. I tried to download software from the website, but that didn't work. I contacted the help line and 3 days later they said the site was fixed.Read full review
