Primal Rage (Super Nintendo Entertainment System, 1995)

Classic arcade-style fighter that outgores Mortal Kombat

For those with a good taste in fighter games and over the top violence, Primal Rage is a game that's oriented around violence in a way that Mortal Kombat couldn't even get away with on the SNES. It involves a moderate selection of fun characters and challenging but simple combo moves makes it easy to play.

The only con I have is later generation versions of this game such as that on Xbox and PlayStation have remastered graphics that are closer to the arcade and fit the gore theme of this game so much better. But the graphics in this game have always been fun to look at no matter what console it can be found on, and this si one of the best fighter games you can get for the snes.Read full review

Blast from the Past!

I grew up playing this arcade game at the local bowling alley. Great buy and lots of good memories.

This game was a product of its time. After the success of Mortal Kombat, numerous copycat games flooded the market. This one at least had a unique twist. Dinosaurs (and giant primates), battle to the death. It's not a particularly original or enjoyable game. I still love that it's part of my collection. Read full review
