Can't beat it for the price.

I don't have an SM57 to compare it to, but it gets the job done. I use it in front of a guitar amp to send a signal to the board. The included cable is a nice perk, but they should have made it with XLR's on both ends. (it's a 2-conductor cable, not a 3-conductor mic cable.) I cut it in two and put 1/4" plugs on the ends.Read full review

Better than expected

I never bought a Pyle product before. Some of their stuff well, I just wasn't very impressed with.

For the price this microphone is better than I expected good quality in my opinion.

I'm using it for Amateur radio and comparing it to a 1/2 dozen other microphones it is probably the best at this point.

Thanks,

Pyle Pro SM57 clone

Happily surprised by this bargain priced mic. I have plugged it in for a test, and it sounds really good. I will use it to mic a guitar amp, and expect that it will work fine! About $14 and free shipping. (Only con, it came with an XLR to 1/4" cable, but I have several XLR-XLR cables already.)Read full review

not a sm57

This mic is not a sm57, but it is close. For mic'ing guitar cabinets this works great. I can buy multiple mics and do stereo or place one in front and one in rear. For what it is I give it a 5.

Good mike.

It sounds great for a $13 item. The bad: It's wired unbalanced, so you can't use an XLR cable with it unless you take it apart and re-wire it.

Well Built and Sounds Great

These mics come with a 1/4 inch guitar cable type end. But they also work with a balanced cable that has the XLR ends that I use for my Shure mics.

I'm impressed with the sound quality as well.Read full review

Great SM-57 Clone

It is a neat microphone for the price. It s is great for a small, at-home studio and is not too far off from an SM-57.

Looks and sounds like a Shure SM57 to me.

Looks like a Shure 57 and these Pyle sounds just as good as the Shure 57’s on my drum kit in my opinion. I purchased 6 of these mikes and use 4 of them on my toms, 1 for the top snare and 1 inside the kick drum. I do use a Shure 57 under my snare and a Pyle PDKM7-A for the outside resonant kick drum head. I didn’t use the cords that come with the mikes because I had the XLR to XLR cables already setup to my mixer. I’m thinking about ordering a few extra just in case I damage one. Great mikes, not cheaply made and very inexpensive especially for the quality.Read full review

More than does the job at a great price!

This is a pretty decent knock-off of a Shure SM-57. My requirements aren't exacting: I host trivia shows, and this little mic more than does what I needed it to, especially at its price point. Very nice, money-saving little item.Read full review

Satisfied Customer

I recently needed some microphones to record with and had a low budget. I saw these in use on a video and thought they sounded good so I decided to go ahead and buy them. After they arrived, I tested them right away. For the price, there is nothing whatsoever I can complain about. They sound good, the construction is solid and they look nice too. They also have a good weight to them which makes them feel sturdy and durable. Highly recommend!Read full review
