Good mic
Used this mic that I intended as a backup last night. Our keyboard player was having difficulties with a REAL shure mic. I offered this "57 copy" and she used it. After the gig she said "thanks you saved me". The metal casing feels the same as a 57 the only difference o can see is that the capsule doesn't spin like the numerous 57s I've owned in the past for 7-10 times the cost.Read full review

Killer mic for a really low price!
This mic is a great value--I have several now, and they are excellent for podcasting. They are excellent for spoken word recording. Plus, they now come with true balanced wiring for noise rejection. It equals the SM57 in quality. I've used them with the Shure A81WS foam windscreen and with just a two-layer pop filter, and, honestly, the PDMIC78 sounds gorgeous. I'll buy these all day over more expensive alternatives! Read full review

Suppoaed to have some weight. Fast shipper good product.
I've plugged it in and recorded with it. Im going to buy 3 more soon. Great little mic for the cash. Durable, clear, and cheap. I recommend it for anyone for a begginer or a experienced musician for a main or a backup. We do all have preferences.Read full review

Will do the job.
Can't beat the price for a functional microphone. Replacement for a SM57? No. Sounds different from a SM57. Thinner with more high end.

Very satisfied
I ordered a Pyle pdmic78. Pyles sm57 styled mic. It was here in two days! Received a new mic in the box. It worked right away and sounds super clean. Very impressed since the mic is super cheap. If you need an sm57 and are low on cash, this is the mic for you. It does come with an unbalanced xlr to male cable. No need for it really. Don't listen to the people saying this product is trash. It's all about your ear and ability to properly record guitar amps and drums. This mic will definitely do alot of the heavy lifting for you.Read full review

Great budget instrument Mic
I got this mic as an alternative to the more expensive SHURE SM57. I would definitely recommend it. No the final sound is not exactly the same but it's close. I do find the mids to be a bit more defined and the highs to be slightly more clear.
All-in-all, for under $20 a this is a great addition to my home recording studio. I am not a professional musician or producer but I do record several times a week.Read full review

underrated
off brand equipment ultimately comes from the same factory, i personally think this mic is brighter than the shure but im overall satisfied with the quality. if you're looking for quality for less, this is the way to go.Read full review

better than expected
No -it's not a 57. But it is a good mic for instruments, drums etc. Better than anything else I've seen in this price range.I have 4 of em, with no issues.
