The reason is that I can buy a new razor online for less money then I can buy the replacement foil and cutter. Good shaver, wrong instructions

The shaver is fine, provides a closer shave compared to an earlier Remington model. This is a refurbished shaver which might explain why the box shows pictures of a different model. The big issue though is the enclosed (brief) instructions. Don't pay any attention to them, especially with respect to removing the shaver head. The instructions suggest to squeeze the top assembly. I broke the plastic, before discovering you need to do the opposite, pull not squeeze. The proper way to remove the screen is to use a fingernail to gently pull one of the two plastic side forks away from the body of the shaver. The screen will be released with the slightest pull, and it then can be removed as an assembly.Read full review
