Good conpelling racer
The mechanics play great especially if you had finished playing Ridge racer 4. My only issue is that since the ps2 began using dual shock the game does not have dualshock/analog support so you have to steer with D pad buttons and cannot switch to analog. Its a bit if a let down since it feels stiff when using the d pad. The game plays well and fair for a racer at its time.Read full review

The last Ridge Racer they could do even better on today's hardware!
The Ridge Racer series is a huge memory of my mid to late 20s. Rage Racer and R4 ruled my PS1 for driving. I do like Grand Turismo 1 & 2 but RR was a more forgiving driving game say arcade-y. Rage Racer looks better on modern TVs on my upscale RGB box than I remembered but it still has jaggies and screen tears. 😆 R4 is a little better graphically and brighter.
The memory was worth reliving. Glad I have a working PS2. 3 tracks and 6-7 cars but customizable paint. 😆 AT-MT choices. Read full review
