Carefree and high-performing once set up

Not that difficult to set up; a bit inconvenient since I had to go back and forth to a desktop computer on another floor. After setting up a new account (I already had one associated with our Roku TV), I realized new accounts no longer get access to streaming Spectrum. We are Spectrum subscribers and use that feature almost 100% of the time on our Roku TV. So I deleted the new account which disabled the Roku Express from operating at all; had to google how to do a factory default reset (not enough to press the reset button, you have to hold it for at least 5 seconds, would be nice if they told you that up front); then was able to add to my existing account with the Spectrum link. After finally setting it up it has worked flawlessly. Will save us almost $100 per year on Spectrum box rental for a tv we don't use that often. The extra-small footprint and no need for A/C cord/transformer are particularly nice.Read full review

Roku Express + - disappointing

wasn't able to pick up the WiFi signal nearly as well as the Roku Stick. The express would only pickup the 2G WiFi (I have both 2G and 5G) which resulted in constant signal buffering, even tho both rooms were adjacent to the WiFi. Therefore, cannot recommend it. Roku Express - A great product!

I needed two new streaming players to stream YouTube TV accounts, as we had just cut the cord from cable. I had heard that Roku Express players work well for this, and after having them for a couple of weeks now I can say that that is definitely true. I also have an Apple TV and I actually like the Roku better for fast forward and rewind while watching shows even though the Roku can be had for about 1/4 of the price. Roku Express

Hooking it to the Television is easy but there is more to it then just that! There is a lot to do once it is hooked up and it took me a while to get it all set up. I'm not to technically smart, I had to play around with it a little so now I know pretty much what to do. But you need high speed internet or the downloads are slow! Also if your internet goes out and your Wi-fi the Roku won't work the same as problems with satellite or cable, and no power you have nothing that works!! I recently purchased my first one a couple of weeks ago to put on my bedroom tv. Boy was I impressed! Now I purchased this one for my smart tv in the living room that doesn’t have Hulu in it’s smart apps. Easy to set up, easy to use and now I have plenty of channels to watch!
