I had an old ROKU and it needed replacement, as it was rebooting all the time. I was a little worried a new ROKU would not have much to offer. No real skill needed to set it up. You need usb port to power it. Usually there should already be one on a modern flat screen. You need to plug unit into HDMI port also on TV. Mine is plugged into HDMI2 or port 2. Change your input on tv remote to input 2 or whatever one you used. Follow directions to connect to WiFi and your ready to go. Good replacement for XFinity X1 box.

I got this to replace my Xfinity X1 box which costs $15/month. This will pay for itself in three months. Setup was easy, the apps mostly work well. It's had its flaky moments, freezing, sound disappearing, but a reboot clears this up, and the more I use it, the less I see these anomalies happening. Good Streaming Stick and Remote

Picture quality is excellent, performs well on just USB power without having to use the separate power plug in provided. Impressed with how well the remote works even without direct line of sight to the device (plugged into back of set inside a cabinet.

Voice command remote could work better. For example, I can ask for a specific movie on Disney Plus but can't ask for a specific game on MLB app.

As a side note I wish I could stream Peacock on it but that is an issue with Peacock not Roku and the same issue also applies to Fire Stick as well. Hopefully NBC and Roku will eventually be able to work out making the Peacock app availableRead full review

This version of Roku has many apps available including Netflix YouTube and many more. With so much to offer all you need is a HDMI port on your TV and a USB power adapter are extension cord that comes with.
