solid upgrade from the original roku stick
Upgraded from the original roku stick to the roku+
I was experiencing unbearable sluggishness and lagging on the old stick, which is resolved in this newer model. I'm also happy to be able to retire the TV remote for power and volume control, as this one has everything included, so now I'm down to just one for a less cluttered coffee table.
Originally I was excited about having the voice command option now, although I have to remember that it searches the Roku app and not the app you're using at the moment. So for example, if you're voice-searching for a show that's on Hulu while you're inside the Hulu app, it will exit out of the app to show you the results in the Roku main menu, then ask you to make your selection and re-access Hulu if that's where the content is. A few extra steps that may ultimately be less convenient than clicking "search" inside the app and typing the first few letters. Up to you.
Haven't had the chance to check out the 4k quality, as my TV is a 1080, but the quality is still decent. Still able to cast to it from my android phone, which I'm thrilled about.
If you're also upgrading from the original stick, don't expect to reuse any of your cables, as this one takes it old school with a mini usb port. No clue why they would have made that choice but here we are. The new short cable in the box comes with a wifi extender built in, so plan to use that.Read full review

Streaming Stick Plus without the Plus Price
What you would expect, it's a refurbished unit in a generic brown box with the stick and related equipment including a quick start guide.
Works as well as a new one and haven't run into any issues with it. The reduced price over a new one is the main feature here of course.

What a great invention. Plug in your tv usb in port and plug in to your open extra HDMI port and your finish. One you connect the wi-fi to the unit it will update and load all apps and software. thats it ready to go. I have 2 one for each tv. We are happy campers.

ROKU as usual, had a product which is simple to use. However, for those of you who are expecting the usual TV Schedules to guid your search, this product doesn't work that way.
