Excellent personal assistant built into a stylish watch!

I was fortunate to find the Galaxy Watch 46mm Bluetooth as an open box sale. Given the list price of $349, the $199 price was awesome. I held off for over a year since first investigating smart watches. But my concerns with health monitoring were the primary driver to get this watch. Already have a Samsung Galaxy Note 9, so SHealth was familiar. The watch adds sensors for continuous heart rate, steps, calories burned, and sleep statistics that are very useful to me as I'm being treated for sleep apnea and also needed motivation for weight loss. I love the numerous watch faces and great integration with my Note 9. Battery life has been great... at or over 2 days even with Always On set. For grins I've downloaded a YouTube player to watch videos on the small screen. I haven't found a video chat/call app but that would be cool... like the old Dick Tracy watch!Read full review

Finally a replacement for my pebble!!

if you've never owned a Pebble watch well you don't know what you're missing. they don't make them anymore but it was an awesome E-ink screen smartwatch that had everything you needed and I could usually get at least a week of battery life. and that was my main issue with smart watches I don't need another item that I have to charge everyday. so when it comes to smart watches I want as many days as possible out of a charge. the Samsung Galaxy watch 2019 is it!! it delivers all the bells and whistles you could want plus I get 5 to 7 days out of a single charge. yes you do have to adjust some settings to get more days but right out of the box you should be getting two or three days. this watch does it all and in battery saving mode you still get the two features that are the only reason I use a smartwatch text messaging and phone calls. so even in battery saving mode I get everything I need from this watch I haven't tried it yet but I bet I could get 10 days if I kept it in battery saving mode. oh and the bezel feature is awesome very convenient and if you have big hands like I do very nice not to have your hands in the way of what you're trying to see on the watch. just turn that bezel and it's very intuitive whether you're scrolling a web page or flipping through apps. well done Samsung! Great looking, but short on statistics abilities.

I was so excited to get this watch. The choices of watch faces to pick from were beyond cool. The workmanship appeared very good. The battery held a charge for a day. I got emails and texts on my phone and some other fun stuff which was cool.

However,

I wanted to be able to track my sleeping, my heart rate throughout the day, the distance I traveled when out running and the number of steps I took each day.

In the morning it showed me asleep for two hours before I went to bed.
My heart rate was not registering correctly.
It showed only about 2/3 of the distance I traveled.
Marked about 1 step for every 3 I took.

I tried to work on the settings, but I had to return it.

I bought and returned a Fitbit watch before I bought the Samsung Galaxy Watch and am so glad I did. The watch bundle was a great price and quality of the watch and phone app is excellent. From what I can see the watch is very accurate with regard to step counting and the apps that can be stored and run on this watch is very pleasing. I like the bezel design. Easy to read and text come over so I could maybe not use the phone, but haven't tried it yet. The bundle came with 2 charging stations which is very convenient for home and vacation home. Awesome Upgrade to the Gear S3

I owned my Galaxy Gear S3 for over 2 years and loved it the entire time. I just wasn't impressed with the Gear Sport so I was excited when I saw the Galaxy Watch released. The 46mm isn't just a fancier Gear S3. It's an upgrade in many ways from a smoother rotating bezel, nearly 3x the battery life, clearer display even with the notifications, more watch face options and just more elegant style. Battery as advertised, experience much more so.

The new Galaxy watch came as advertised. Battery life at full functionality was a bit less than I'd hoped, but it's still 3x longer than the Galaxy 2x. Running with power saver mode on does exend the battery life by several days. The app catalog is still a little thin, but I'm able to accomplish everything I'd like through Bixby and Alexa. Probably the biggest surprises with this watch are the mic and speaker allowing me to live out all the James Bond role play from when I was a kid, and the wifi support. Being able to use my phone's wifi settings to configure and connect to wifi independently on my watch unlocks a ton of functionality and hides the limitations of the previous bluetooth only version. All in all, the Galaxy Watch has been so far superior to my wife's Apple Watch 3 and 4, it's embarassing. Worth the money if you have the money to spare.Read full review
