A GOOD IRON WITH SOME INCONVENIENCES

I chose this because it is 1500 watts and thought it would do a better job that previous irons I have had. I really can't tell the difference, though. I had read some of the reviews and the cons they described are true.... it is almost impossible to read the level of water. It takes effort and moving the iron in different ways. It does not have an on/off switch, to turn it on you plug it in and to turn it off you unplug it. Also the gleam from the metallic red coloring keeps looking as if it is a light that tells you it is on. Even when it is sitting.not being used. The water sputters around inside and makes noise as you use it.
It has a smooth glide as you work . and a point that gets into small spaces of the garment. I left it on recently when I went out and it turned itself off and was cool to the touch. My last iron turned itself off but kept a light on and kept a certain degree of heat all day.

Overall, it was a good purchase, the cons are things I can live with. I hope it has a long life span and doesn't die on me.Read full review

Super easy to use, great features and well constructed.

I LOVE this iron. It is -as indicated- light weight, heats well and is a breeze as well as efficiently effective to use. Never used a stainless steel base before but I am rather impressed as it sliides easliy. Things I really like is the design as it is easy to hold and manueuver. Additionally the tip is designed for those corners usually hard to get at. Works well. The only 2 things which I need to adapt to is that they recommend ironing from left to right, top to bottom. pulling the iron backwards. It does work much better this way compared to the usual forward motion. The other is the recommendation to turn off before unplugging. Makes sense for all irons but I have not done in the past. In anycase, I LOVE this iron and will be my favorite of those I have used through the years. Due to exceptional construction I am sure it will last a very very long time.Read full review
