Great solution
It's too easy to forgot to use a regular sand time and too easy to not notice when one has run out. This gadget solves these issues. It auto starts and beeps to let you know how long you have spent. I now have no trouble in keeping my showers short. It's a great way to save water (and money). However, for those exceptional times, it would be nice if the product had an on/off switch so I could have a longer shower without the beeps every minute. But of course, then I risk forgetting to turn it back on again. Perhaps a "snooze" button?Read full review

Works pretty much perfectly, great for kids
I bought a couple of these to try and reduce the amount of shower time the kids were using. It works really, really well for that. It has more than halved the average shower length for the kids.
The only niggles (which are understandable) are that it goes off while a bath is filling (which can take ages) and it also goes off while using the hair dryer - although it does say this will happen in the instructions.
This is so much more effective than a timer that you have to remember to start.
Definitely recommended.

Great product!
This timer is made from quality materials and works perfectly, requiring no setup. Just pop in the battery and hang it close to the shower (or in the shower out of the direct water stream such as on the shower head pipe) and it does the rest. It beeps to let you know how many minutes the shower has been running, from 2 minutes up to a single long beep at ten minutes. It is very loud and can be heard from outside the bathroom, so you can yell at the kids if they take too long! Great water saving device that needs no setting or adjustment, it just works. One of the best investments for saving hot water
With 4 kids and 2 adults in our house there is nothing worse than coming home after getting filthy dirty at work and the kids have used all the hot water.
The automatic shower timer is fantastic, why? Because you don't need to set it or remember to turn it on, it's just on and stays on and it automatically detects when the shower is turned on and starts the timer and resets when the shower is turned off.
The timer gives a loud beep for every minute that the shower has been on and the beeps get longer after 5 minutes (which is what we try to limit our showers too).
The beeps are loud which is great because when the 5 year old is in the shower old doesn't necessarily take any notice of the beeps and we are in the kitchen, we are still able to hear the beeps and remind him that it is time to get out.

Genius Device!!!
This shower timer is absolutely genius. It doesn't need to be set, adjusted or started. just insert battery and hang. I hang mine on top of the glass shower screen on the outside and it works perfectly. My two young children now have competitions to see who can have the quickest shower. They went from 15 to 20 minute showers down to 4 to 5 minute showers. My only problem now is to make sure they have cleaned themselves properly.

Very sensitive to humid conditions, but do the job
The timers work well, they are just extremely sensitive in a humid country. They pick on the moisture from the hairdryer or hair straightener at my dressing table just outside the bathroom. When the air con turns on and blows the humid air towards the bathroom, the timers start counting and beeping. Have had to shut the bathroom doors to stop this from happening. Simple and it works
This shower timer is fully automatic, no need to start it. It senses the noise of the falling water in the shower, then beeps twice after two minutes. After that it beeps each minute, 3 beeps at 3 minutes, etc.
The beep is loud without being deafening. We have our timer hanging on a towel rail about 1.5 metres from the shower head, and it has no problems detecting the shower sound.
It will also occasionally trigger from the sound of a hair-drier, and presumably any other continuous noise. This is no more than a slight nuisance.
My morning shower is down to 6-7 minutes now (I shave in the shower) and in the evening under 3 minutes; this from someone who can easily get "lost" in the shower for 20 minutes.

BEST AUTOMATIC SHOWER TIMER ON THE MARKET
Best Product ever for saving money on electricity and water in the shower! Its way too easy to hop in the shower and relax to the sound of running water, especially the ladies with hair wash and shaving! Very soon 20 minutes can pass and with that the electricity bill climbs and the water tank is running low if on tank water or excess water bill starts climbing if on town water, especially if you have a few females in the house! I have been using one of these timers in our house since they came on the market and whilst initially the reminders drove me crazy, we now cannot live without it! This product is brilliant as you can replace the battery, but believe me the one that's included does last for ages! This product is so good, I have recently purchased two more for my daughter and her family after convincing them they must reduce their huge electricity bill somehow and that this is a start - and they now love this product too! Great stuff
Leave it out of the shower. I rest it on top on a ledge. Works pretty much anywhere near shower. Beeps every min except min one. Finding I can get by easy 3-4 min showers. You always forget about it and then you hear the beeps and reminds you "oh yeah I'm trying to save water". Like how you don't have to turn it on or worry about it. If you were really trying to save water you could have do a 2-3 beep shower. Not that uncomfortable. Very happy. Read full review
