Arthritic elderly cat loves it.

Holds heat for hours. My big cat has a thick quilted doggy hut in which he loves to spread out and sleep. I have a self warming pet mat (basically these contain a special heat reflecting foil which radiates body heat back). With this combo and my cat inside the snuggle safe stays warm for 10 hours. Perfect on a cold night.

Snugglesafe is a safe option

If used correctly these are fantastic for using with sick or cold animals. They must not be reheated unless fully cool and they must not be used for immobile animals. They retain warmth overnight and a more a safe alternative to hot water bottles.

Hard and doesn't get very warm

The disk is a solid hard block so not very nice for cat to snuggle in to. It doesn't get very warm and barely stays 'warm' for the promised time. We have continued to use the water bottle we were using before purchasing this so that the cat is actually warrm for the night in her own bed (and not ours).Read full review

In the past, I have bought electric heating pads for my cats, but always felt uneasy about using them, so I got the snugglsafe and never looked back! They are thick, rigid discs, and I thought my animals would find it uncomfortable to lie on but that worry was unfounded. I heat them for 3 and a half minutes, and even though they come with a cover, I still put them under the bedding, and the warmth seeps through. They stay warm for at least 8 hours, as the manufactures claim. I would definately recommend them. They are safe and worry free. I even bought some for the RSPCA!
