Handy heat source

Very hard (like some type of ceramic) covered in plastic outer. Does not get hot but useful long term warmth, lasted whole night which was a pleasant change. Only issue was getting it in cage doors, can be problematic.Read full review

Hard and doesn't get very warm

The disk is a solid hard block so not very nice for cat to snuggle in to. It doesn't get very warm and barely stays 'warm' for the promised time. We have continued to use the water bottle we were using before purchasing this so that the cat is actually warrm for the night in her own bed (and not ours).Read full review

Use it for myself!

I was worried about my hot water bottle leaking and burning me, and thought the heat dissipated from my wheat bag too quickly. The disc is a little hard but easy to adapt to. The easiest way to keep pets warm and so easy to clean!

I have adolescent chickens, and it's been down to zero degrees celcius at night, so warming these pads and placing them in the coup has been invaluable. Warm and safe

My work uses these for small animals, so I decided to buy one for my cats too. My cats love to sit on this thing. You could probably use it for humans too, it’s super safe. It comes with a fleece sleeve so it’s less intimidating for the animals, and doesn’t expose them directly to the heat.

I have used these hundreds of times, have never had a problem. I tend to heat them for a little less than the recommended time out of paranoia, and they still stay warm for a good few hours. The price seems steep, but they definitely are worth it.Read full review

My expectations were not that high when I purchased these. Claiming to stay warm for 10 hours. Well WOW, these are just fantastic. They absolutely stay warm for 10 hours and more. I heated mine up at 9pm for my cats, put them on top of my quilt and the cats loved them. I could still feel slight warmth from them 12 hours later. Great way to stop cats climbing under your covers, smothering you and waking you up in the middle of the night while they try to get warm lol. Great product, safe for pets

I needed something indestructible for my rabbit who is a chewer and will chew anything. I needed something to keep her warm during the cold winter weather but that wouldn't burn her or explode like a hot water bottle if she bit into it. So I was glad to see that this product is "bite-proof". The microwave instructions are easy and seems to get quite warm. I don't know if it actually does last for 10 hours as stated, as I usually use it overnight in my rabbit's cage under her bed. A Warm Dog is a Happy Dog!

Great product, easy to use, and it holds its heat all night. My dog is old and feels the chill at nighttime, so by warming her bed up she gets a comfortable nights sleep and so do I!

Great for elderly pets

My elderly cats love the disc under their bedding on cold winter nights. As it is quite hard it needs to go under several blankets but the warmth still penetrates and lasts over 8 hours. Three minutes in my microwave heats it up nicely. The cover is great but quite hard to get the disc in. If the cover was a tad bigger that would be easier.
