The long and short is that I had three refurbished units in a row which either wouldn't turn or made horrible noises, so you're better off looking for a changer with little or no use; they're out there. I really got tired of shipping them back and found one locally for $65.00. Found a replacement for a discontinued model!

This is a discontinued model. I had this exact model for 10+ years and it finally stopped functioning about 9 months ago. I still listen to CDs and since I have almost 300 of them, I needed to find something comparable. This unit works just fine, I already had a remote and key board for this replacement from my original which stopped working, the CD optical drive failed and new replacement from Sony is now a minimum of $123.00 for the optical drive unit used in the CX355 besides labor.Read full review

Everything seems fine except when Turing the knob to select a CD position while the door is open, sometimes the electronics doesn't keep up prohibiting the turntable of CD's to move quickly
