Poor design and looks sloppy
The design is very poor. The discs inside do not match for the most part. Movie 1 is the 2nd disc. Like it is from another collection or dvd set. The second movie looks nothing like the 1st, 3rd, or 4th movie. I expected the last movie: superman returns to be different looking but still have superman 1-4 all look the same. As a movie collector if I would have known this first I would have never bought it. Yes they are the movies that they say they are but the presentation is poor and sloppy. Read full review

Superman, Still America's Greatest Hero
This was an exceptional DVD collection set of Superman movies I, II, III, IV, V. As someone who grew up with the old B&W Superman TV show, it was imperative to have this great collection set, especially now that some studios have decided to try and make him out to be a villain in Batman v Superman. Normally superheroes that are aligned in good / protecting Earth and her creatures, people and all do not mistrust and fight one another.
So that movie and the upcoming one about deposing Captain America are all about tarnishing Truth, Justice, and the American Way, but when you watch these movies, they'll make you feel great about the kids who created Superman and the times he was born out of in reality. Also, that he's a superhero with real feelings and yet can be good, nice and helpful yet strong and butt kicking without having to use a lot of bad language to seem macho / stronger.
These will take you back to when it was cool to have a one true love, solid values and a penchant for helping the weak from being preyed upon by the mean, evil and/or power mongers. That is the epitome of upholding Truth, Justice and the American Way - the true way, where the law equals us all and no one is above it.

Can't beat out Christopher Reeve
Maybe I'm biased, because I grew up watching this Superman and the animated series, but I feel that this Superman is a much more fleshed out Superman than Henry Cavill's. No disrespect to his acting, but the writing isn't as fun as these older films. And the best part of this collection, is that you get 5 films in 1. The Expanded Edition Superman, Director's Cut Superman II, Superman III and IV, as well as Superman Returns.Read full review
